Babcia's Kitchen
Babcia is Polish for "Gramma", and that is what we called my great-gramma. She was such a sweet lady! She always searched her purse for candy or gum for us when she came to visit, and when she babysat she never mentioned my homework and she let me stay up way later than my parents ever did and watch TV with her. I remember visiting her when I was very small at her house on Chestnut St. in Mechanicsville. I barely remember it, only her kitchen left this lasting impression on me. I really liked it- it felt very warm and safe. Ba's kitchen was so clean you could eat off of the floor, and she had a little bird. This bracelet is a tribute to her cheerfulness, her great cooking, her inviting kitchen and the love she showed her family.
This bracelet was made from vintage glass, fabric, and plastic house dress buttons and some cute little beads sewn onto elastic with sturdy thread and a lot of love!
This bracelet comfortably fits my wrist, which is about 6 inches around. You want these to not be tight, because the band is elastic. if you would like something similar but need a bigger or smaller size please e-mail me!
