Christmas at Grammas
Some Grammas never get rid of anything, so when you go to their house for Christmas they don't have contemporary decorations, they have stuff from back when they got married, or from when your parents were little. That's the kind of gramma I want to be, because both of my Grammas (Sara and Margie) were like that. It was like a trip back in time, a peek at a different era, and evidence of my parents youth! Gramma Margie had special favorite ornaments we would search the tree for every year, and Gramma Sara had a cupboard with years and years worth of Christmas cards she would let me look through. Gramma Sara also had a special closet upstairs where she stored all of her decorations during the year that smelled like Christmas candles! As an adult, I really miss how special my Grammas made Christmas for me as a child!
