Our Lady of Africa
and Baby Jesus

Our Lady of Africa (aka Mary, Queen of Africa and the Blessed Virgin Mary) is the patron saint of the African continent. This shrine was inspired by the shack lands of South Africa and the creativity and aesthetic sensibilities of the people who live there. I was turned on to this by the photographs of Craig Fraser in his book Shack Chic. This is an incredible book and I highly recom-mend it.
