A moon, a sugared plum, a beautiful mysterious lady...are the central elements of this romantic necklace.

The small original portrait, painted by me, is based on a snapshot from the 1940's of a beautiful Japanese lady. She is set in a round brass setting and sealed with lacquer. The other elements are a chain of tiny lavender glass beads, freshwater pearls, plum glass beads, Bali silver hishi and bead (shaped like a little lantern!), brass and silver rings, and repurposed vintage plastic beads from some long ago lady's fabulous costume jewelry.

The necklace goes on over the head- it runs small- and has a sliding ring and pearl stopper design so it will never A. fall off or B. choke you. It hangs with sexy ease down the front(!) and can be arranged so that the moon or the plum hang higher.
