St. Anne

St. Anne is the patron saint of grammas. This St. Anne is based on my Babcia, my great-gramma, who emigrated from Poland when she was 15. She and my great-grandfather farmed. She had seven daughters. She was more comfortable speaking Polish than English , but she was still the sweetest gramma in the world. She always had gum in her purse for us, and when she babysat she let us stay up late!

She is set inside an old flip door toaster, which my dad kindly gutted for me. Thanks, Dad!
