St. Dorothy

St. Dorothy of Caesarea is the patron saint of gardeners. This particular St. Dorothy is based on my Gramma Margie. She is in her late 80's and is still plants a vegetable garden every year. She used to have an apple orchard and fruit trees too, and has the greenest thumb of anyone I know.

St. Dorothy is often shown holding apples and roses, which are two things my gramma liked to grow. She is shown holding them here, with her cat at her feet.
