St. Monica

St. Monica is the patron saint of mothers. Her son, who grew up to be St. Augustine, was the absolute worst teenager in the world. She was happy with how he ultimately turned out, though.

One of the things St. Monica said that has really stuck with me is "Nothing is far from God". She said this in reference to a fear she had had about dying far from home.
