Saint Anthony of Padua

This shrine to St. Anthony of Padua is also a three dimensional retablo that tells the story of how I lost my Gramma Sara. She passed away very suddenly and unexpectedly a few years ago. I really miss her a lot. Feelings of loss have led me to begin to contemplate St. Anthony, and the nature of the requests people make to him, what kind of comfort we may be seeking, and what kinds of loss (there are so many) we feel the most sharply. I have shown St. Anthony "finding" gramma Sara's spirit, because it gives me comfort to think that she has moved on in her journey.
